As we entered Hogsmeade last night, fog and haunting music filled the air. As we were lead down the dark alley way, we could see hints of shadowy figures lurking around. Then, out of the green mist came shrouded creatures, also known as “Death Eaters” lurking around us and waiting to pounce.
This was a truly one of a kind happening, something that we have never experienced before and certainly not during a live stream. As we kept making our way towards Hogwart’s Castle, let by our media tour guide, we heard a scream and saw that someone from our group had been grabbed and was being taken away, down the dark corridors! We wanted to help, but were paralized with fear!
This was just the beginning of the darker side of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter as we were given the opportunity to see the debut of the all-new, breathtaking projection
mapping experience at Universal Orlando Resort – “Dark Arts of Hogwarts Castle.”
You will as we experienced, be able to watch as some of the awe-inspiring moments and creatures inspired by the Harry Potter films come to life on Hogwarts castle through state-of-the-art projection mapping, special effects, lighting and more – making this a “must-
see” Wizarding World experience.
And, guests can now come face-to-face with Death Eaters – devoted followers of Lord Voldemort known for their allegiance and practice of the Dark Arts – while in Hogsmeade. Ominous green light and fog will permeate the village as the Death Eaters eerily roam throughout Hogsmeade, lurking amongst guests – practicing the Dark Arts with complete disregard of wizarding laws.
Then, guests will witness Dementors, Aragog, Mountain Trolls, Thestrals and other unspeakable creatures cloak the castle for “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle.” Guests will be asked to summon their inner strength and bravely face the all-consuming Dark Arts and the visage of the powerful Dark wizard Lord Voldemort until the Patronus spell – ones of the most famous, difficult and powerful defense of the Dark Arts charms in the
Wizarding World – is cast.
“Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” is the third projection mapping experience created for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade. During select times throughout the year, guests can also enjoy “Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle” and “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle.”
