Wanting to Experience Batuu After Hours, Meet Your Favorite Celebrities, Jam with the Mickey Mouse Club the DIS Family Reunion is the Place to Be!

It is an awesome feeling when the community comes together, supporting each other for a great cause. Our friends at The DIS have been making dreams come true for children and their families at Give Kids the World Village for over 20 years, raising a total over that time of more than $1 million dollars. Their dedication and passion for the Village has truly been an inspiration for me and we are so excited to be attending their fundraiser this year as a media partner and supporter.

This year they are pulling out the stops and offering a weekend-long potpourri of music, entertainment, private parties and celebrity meet and greets. Scheduled to take place September 9-11 at Walt Disney World®, the DIS Family Reunion 2021 is a one-of-a-kind expo celebrating all facets of the wonderful world of Disney – from Disney, Marvel and Pixar animation to film, television, theme parks, music and memorabilia.

September 9th you can join in on the fun at the Main Stage at the Fantasia Ballroom at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for the event kickoff with Jeff Vahle, president of Walt Disney World Resort, and Pamela Landwirth, president and CEO of Give Kids The World, as they share their insights.

Attractions Actor Panel – Ron Schneider, David Danipour, Kat Cressida and Mark Silverman delve into the world of Imagination, Flight of Passage, Haunted Mansion and the Tower of Terror along with actress Jodi Benson following share their experience, knowledge and talent with the audience.

From the The Lost Bros Stage at the Ballroom of the Americas you can hear stories from Disneyland’s Opening from Tom Nabbe, Bill Hoelscher and Bill Sullivan as they reminisce about the opening of The Happiest Place On Earth.

From Animated Voices panel, Actress Linda Larkin, the original voice of Princess Jasmine in Walt Disney’s animated classic, Aladdin, and John Morris, the original voice of Andy from Pixar Animation Studios classic, Toy Story, tell their stories and then Lee Cockerell, former executive vice president at Walt Disney World Resort and Dan Cockerell, former vice president of the Magic Kingdom Park share stories about their time with Disney Parks and offer thoughts on leadership. Wrapping up the first day is one of our favorites we are so happy to see, the Palm Beach Society Orchestra – formerly known as the Grand Floridian Society performance.

That night is filled with even more entertainment from our good friends YeeHa Bob and Sergio to American Martian (formerly known as Mulch, Sweat and Shears) you will want to get your tickets now so that you do not miss a thing.

Friday the 10th moves into more fun with Pat Sajak opening the day and sharing his stories from his run on Wheel of Fortune to our friends at the Mickey Mouse Renuion panel, imagineers from both Universal and Walt Disney World, Screen Writer John August, and more.

Then on Saturday, Sept 11th, the after hours begins at Star Wars; Galaxy Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from 10pm to 12am. Featuring the most popular attractions and little to no wait time, Star Wars; Rise of the Resistance, Millennium Falcon; Smugglers Run, building your own light saber at Savi’s Workshop and sipping on blue (or green) milk, saying hello to your friends at Oga’s Cantina and a desert party, this after hours event will take you over the moon (or bright suns) to end the weekend on a high note.

There will also be vendors on site so that you can come and do some shopping as well as a silent auction with eclectic and unique items to possibly add to your Disney collection, with all proceeds going directly to Give Kids the World Village.

Whether you can enjoy the entire weekend or just come for a day, or possible see parts of it on a live stream (wink, wink), being able to have fun, support each other in the Disney community and most importantly raise awareness and money for Give Kids the World Village, we can all contribute whatever we can to help bring joy to children with critical illnesses and their families, even if it is just donating a dollar.
