Walt Disney World Resorts are Opening for Fun and Relaxation….With A Few Changes
The news coming out of Walt Disney world Resort over the past couple of weeks is mind boggling. Recently, we learned that Walt Disney World will be cancelling dining reservations, as well as Fastpasses and Extra Magic Hours in an effort to bring the parks attendance in line with the CDC and government regulations and keep their cast members and guests safe through social distancing and other measures. At this time, Disney World is focusing on guests who already have reservations and has temporarily not taking new bookings. These guests will be given priority access to the new theme park reservation system, and we filled you in on the fact that Disney’s Swan and Dolphin and Shades of Green Resorts would be included in that set group. However, with the recent news that Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort will be cancelling it’s reservations through the end of July, thinking that the road was turning smooth in regards to getting back to a form of normality may have just hit a bump.
Through all of this over abundance of news, we are trying to digest just what may be opening, available and changing. It was reported that the popular pool at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort, Stormalong Bay, would not be opening when the resort starts accepting guests. Other feature pools throughout Walt Disney World Resort property will be operating under reduced hours and capacity to allow for social distancing, and poolside activities may still be available.
