Walt Disney World Resort will be showcasing the newest attraction at EPCOT as the 50th Anniversary kicks off
We have been watching the progress at the France Pavilion, even getting to walk through some streets as a preview, but now it is official.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open Oct. 1st in EPCOT, company executives (NYSE: DIS) announced at a March 9 shareholders meeting.
In the new attraction at Epcot’s France pavilion, riders shrink to the size of rats — Parisian rats, to be exact — and they hop into rodent-shaped ride cars for a trip through the kitchen of Gusteau’s, one of the top restaurants in Remy’s version of Paris. I had the opportunity to go into this ride during its construction and even at this very primary phase, it was very exciting.
The attraction mixes several ride mechanics seen before such as 4-D experiences that include scents as guests race through the kitchen. Plus, each ride car is expected to behave differently, making each ride unique.
La Crêperie de Paris, a new restaurant offering table- and quick-service options, will also open, making its debut at the France pavilion.
I cannot wait to experience this attraction and it will absolutely be on the list during the first days of October. Along with Ratatoille there are several new attractions on the way to the resort. Others include the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster at Epcot, Tron Lightcycle Power Run at Magic Kingdom and more. Those projects are well underway, but Disney has yet to announce their official opening dates.
