Our Stay at Gaylord Palms -A True Florida Resort
A huge thank you to Gaylord Palms for inviting us out to stay in their beautiful resort and experience SummerFest going on now through August 11th. You know me, flip flops and tank tops are my thing and we enjoyed all the fun activities as you got to see on the live stream from this amazing resort. Our tour guide for the morning, Chris-great name by the way- lead us through this enourmous place and explained all the amenities it offers from a full service spa, dining options, the different sections of the resort from the atrium to Key West to the Everglades. We even got to see baby alligators!
The resort has a huge atrium in the main portion of the resort and we were able to sit from our balcony in our room and watch the phenomenal SummerFest light show while relaxing! We sampled some food items during our stay and the vibe is very relaxed and fun. For those that want a day at the spa, Relache is a beautiful, full-service spa, where you can relax, renew and rejuvinate. You can also book appointments or a spa day even if you not staying at the resort.
They do have a signature steakhouse, “Old Hickory Steakhouse” as well as the cool “Moor” restaurant that looks just like a sailboat, serving the freshest seafood. For guests like us, casual dining is offered, so many options to choose from.
Our room was incredible. We had an atrium view room and it was super spacious and looking out into the atrium from our balcony was a dream. You will have plenty of room and the WiFi in the room was great.
There are also many areas of the resort including Key West, St Augustine the Everglades. Each has things to discover and we could have spent a couple more nights here and probably still not experienced everything that the resort has to offer.
They even have a wedding gazebo. We then ventured out into the humongous pool area. Here we found a resort pool with cabanas, plenty of loungers and umbrellas and they even have a separate adults only pool. But the most awesome part of the recreational outside of Gaylord Palms is Cypress Springs Water Park. It is a whole water park right at the resort! Unfortunately, it was storming here in sunny Florida during our stay so we did not get to explore however, we will be returning to Gaylord Palms to take in more of the sights and sounds of this expansive resort.
Summer is here and it’s time to have some fun. Bust out your flip flops and bathing suits, and celebrate at Gaylord Palms’ annual SummerFest event. Soak up the sun at their Cypress Springs Water Park – including a drop slide, racing slides and a double FlowRider surfing experience. Featuring pool parties, a surf show and a scavenger hunt, SummerFest will be a splashing good time for everyone. Their is a DJ jam party as well as dive-in movies and an escape room!
