While we were staying at Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel during our latest trip to Disneyland, we were very excited to be given the opportunity to try out their restaurant Hanagi.
Both of us love Japanese food and we have tried many places around the Orlando area and even restaurants inside of Epcot, so we were looking forward to trying this place here in California.
The creators of Hanagi Sapporo and Hanagi Guam have finally brought the original Hanagi experience to America. And it is only at the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel. This was not just a meal it was a magical experience and the food was awesome. Arrive ready to indulge your appetite and curiosity on a special food adventure where authentic cuisine meets a magical experience. Where every dish is as much the chef’s personal expression as it is a cut of fish or meat. And every bite inspires the imagination.
We had the fried chicken bowl (sorry, can’t remember the exact name) spicy tuna rolls, spicy garlic edamame, and the steak. I have to say they were all delicious. Usually you cook your own food on the table (as you are seated around this huge table which serves as a grill), but due to COVID restrictions they are not allowing that at this time. So, they cook your food and serve it to you which still was a great experience in dining but we would have loved to have been able to do some cooking.
They also have a limited menu at the moment but everything looked amazing that they were serving. Here are some things that were offered when we were there:
- Tricolor Sashimi Carpaccio
- Spicy Garlic Edamame
- Shrimp Tempura Roll
- Spicy Tuna Roll
- Assorted Nigiri Sushi Plate & California Roll
- Shrimp Tempura and Vegetables with Teriyaki sauce
- Chef’s Chirashi Sushi including botan-ebi, ikura, bluefin tuna, uni, scallops, snow crab legs, unagi
Now, I am not a big seafood fan, but they were very happy to substitute the chicken which I thought was great.
