Goodbye 2019; It Has Been One H*ck of A Ride…

As we celebrate the coming of 2020 and a new year of hope, expectation and new beginnings, the saying that is on the archway when you enter the Magic Kingdom comes to mind. “Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.”

The Spokesmayne channel, the Mayne Mafia and yes, even myself, have been through so many amazing things this past year. We have celebrated together, slept together (stop, you know what I mean), experienced new attractions and openings together, and yes, even cried together. We have been excited, nervous (yes, Mr Nervous does come to mind), tired, hungry, super happy and unfortunately, heartbroken. We have climbed rope courses, experienced the thrill of the tallest roller coaster and even ziplined over crocodiles!! But, through it all, we do leave today, December 31, 2019, and enter the world of tomorrow; anticipating the new and exciting opportunities that await us on the other side of this new decade.I want to thank the Mayne Mafia for coming along with me and helping me grow this channel into an amazingly safe and inspiring community. I especially want to thank the mod mafia, lovingly known as “The Avengers” for your unwavering support and love during this past year, it truly means the world to me.

We started this year of 2019 always striving to bring you the best quality live streams and pushing the envelope in new innovation. From magic mode to superzoom, I have wanted to be able to give you the highest level of streaming. We were greatly privileged to be put on Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood media lists and were able to party during Mardi Gras down the streets on one of the floats, giving you a Point of View perspective of what it is like to throw beads to the crowds below.

We were honored to be invited to cover MegaCon 2019, meeting celebrities like Michael J. Fox and ask questions to Boy Meets World cast. My hands shook and I could hardly speak when I was able to stand on the red carpet and interview Joey Fatone and the awesome members of the Mickey Mouse Club Reunion at #MMC30 at Epcot, being able to have now become friends with many of those that I met that night. It was on this night, that we were introduced full force to Give Kids The World Village and my heart was stolen away and my passion to help lit up when we heard from Pam Landwirth, CEO of GKTW Village and the parents and volunteers. This was the beginning of what I feel is the reason that I was given the platform that I have, to make a difference in the lives of other people.

We went to Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, were the first ever to step foot in Disney’s Star Wars; Galaxy Edge in Disneyland and were able to bring you along with us as we high-fived the inhabitants of Batuu that early morning in May. We were graciously given SeaWorld media and got to see some of the fun and awesome new shows and special events. We had fun at Volcano Bay, explored and visited some amazing resorts and hotels, from Disney, Universal, LegoLand and around Orlando, being able to give you a first hand look at what they offer and how you could stay there on your next awesome vacation in Central Florida.

We got to be a part of D23 and I was able to bring you to some of the most exciting news and super awesome moments ever. Being able to be in the same room and listen to people like Robert Downey Jr, Bob Iger, Bob Chapek, interview Bob Gurr, a legendary imagineer, and so much more, really is mind blowing. We even went through a hurricane during the live stream, watching the radar and keeping up to date on the stream as to where the storm was going. Meeting friends at Epcot when it was the emptiest we had ever been while there and just having a blast.

I then had the huge blessing and honor of being put on Disney media, which was something that was beyond a dream come true for me. Because of this, we have been able to do some of the most awesome things. From the openings and festivities of Food and Wine, to sneak previews of some of Epcot’s new attractions, be one of the first to attend the grand opening of the Disney Skyliner, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and even greeting RunDisney race winners at the Food & Wine Half Marathon which was a first for the channel. And then there was the most recent three day Rise of the Resistance event where we were the first to see some of the new Ratatouille attraction, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railroad and then experience the awesomeness of Rise of the Resistence, it has just been a whirlwind!

As if that was not enough, we were able to come together as a great community of streamers, vloggers and influencers and raise awareness and money for Give Kids The World Village in a truly groundbreaking live stream, like has never been done before. Sixteen channels coming together for the same cause, having fun, sharing inspirational stories, laughing, crying, but most of all, doing something that means something for others. Magic Streamdom was the most amazing and humbling thing I have ever done or been a part of in my life. I am truly honored to be a partner with Give Kids The World Village and in a small way, help them raise awareness along with so many other great creators in our community.

We got to experience Halloween Horror Nights, being able to film the houses as media and being able to be some of the first to be able to see the new houses. We got to be made up, the first time ever on my live stream, at Dark Horizons, being invited out and transformed into a Voodu shaman. This I had to say, was one of the coolest things I have ever experienced.

We got to have fun at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, do monorail resort tours, take in the Christmas decorations and atmosphere at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and be there for the final Epcot Illuminations and for the first ever showing of Epcot Forever. We have hung out and had fun, met new friends and unfortunately, we have said goodbye to some. We have been through highs and lows, but just as in life, that is what I want you, the viewers, to experience through irl live streaming. ‘In real life’ streaming is where this channel’s heart and soul is and will always be. It is not just about going around to different rides or attractions, openings or festivals. It is about an intimate connection between you and me, the Mayne Mafia family. It is about you coming with me, whether it be to the parks, to the store or just hanging out at the house and playing the newest video game, listening to my latest song or just chatting over dinner. The channel has grown, we have taken risks, and accomplished much, all with the love and support of the Mayne Mafia, and for that, I am extremely grateful.

Ringing in the year 2020 calls for re-evaluation and reflection. It is time to set some new goals moving forward and giving less attention to negativity and surrounding myself with good people who care unconditionally. Because, if I do not take care of myself, both physically, emotionally and spiritually, I will not be able to take care of some of the most important people in my life, you, my Mayne Mafia family. Placing less judgment and being more empathetic, understanding that we have no idea what others may be going through.

And finally, working my butt off towards my goals in this new year. Consistency, pressure and ultimate patience are the ingredients for 2020. And if you thought this last year was great….well, let me tell you, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!!

Thank you Mayne Mafia for making 2019 a wonderful year and I look forward to bringing you along on some amazing new experiences, travel destinations, exciting content and innovation and who knows what else. I know I would never have thought I would have had so much happen to me in one year. It makes me so excited to get this new year started!!
