Today was such an exciting day. Not only were we able to experience the 24th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, but we were able to attend today as official Disney media! As you know, this is super humbling and exciting and the best part of all is that you, the Mayne Mafia, will be able to come along to most of these amazing events ‘through the lens of this livestreamer!’
We started the morning off by officially checking in and receiving our media credentials and then off to explore all of the amazing things that the International Food & Wine Festival has to offer. This event is called the Family Media Day, as Disney has allowed media to invite their family or friends along with them and we did as well.
As we explored the global marketplaces, there is so much to see, taste and do. If you are coming during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival be sure to check out these festival highlights:
- Sweet and savory bites plus beverage sips from 30 festival-exclusive global food and wine marketplaces that extend from Future World to encircle the World Showcase promenade.
- Two brand-new marketplaces including Appleseed Orchard and The Alps Marketplace.
- Festival fun for the entire family includes the new Emile’s Fromage Montage along with returning favorites such as Disney du Jour Dance Party, Candy Sushi presented by Adventures by Disney and Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt.
We were also granted VIP access to the Tiffany concert tonight, and she was a powerhouse! The Eat to the Beat Concert Series runs throughout the festival and is a wonderful way to be able to enjoy top artists ranging from the contemporary gospel genre to hip hop. If you have been following the channel, you have been able grab a “front seat” at these concerts and enjoy many artist.
Later that evening, we were invited to the Last Illumination Show Dessert Party. Since it was raining on and off during the day, we had the opportunity to enjoy it indoors and what a beautiful spread they had! Selections of goodies and pastries from different countries were in full force, from Blueberry and Almond Frangapane Tart from the Alps, Baklava from Morocco and passion fruit cheesecake with toasted macadamia nuts. Everything looked amazing. Of course, there was the Arendelle Aqua Cuvée, from Amorette’s Patisserie, a bubbly fairytale champagne topped with a cute chocolate Minnie Mouse topper.
We were also given VIP viewing for Illuminations, Reflections of Earth (soon leaving us) as well as special glasses that we could use so that the fireworks turned into little Mickey’s. To say that this was one of the most special days is an understatement for sure. I am so grateful to Walt Disney World for giving me this opportunity and so grateful to all of you, who support the channel and all that we try to bring to you ‘through the lens of this livestreamer.’ We look forward to many more exciting previews and adventures in the future and as Walt said, “If you can dream it, You can do it.”
What an amazing day and evening and so thrilled that Disney has given us the opportunity to be able to attend these events.
