Can you believe that it is #HalfwaytoHalloween? 2021 has just been racing by and today we have the most exciting and anticipated news on the Disney Halloween front. Disney Parks announced this morning that even though the there will be no Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party this year in the typical and spooktacular way that Disney reimagines happenings during this crazy time, there will be a Halloween-themed after hours event coming to Magic Kingdom!
Disney After Hours BOO BASH” will take place on select nights, Aug. 10 – Oct. 31, from 9 p.m. to midnight*. Spooktacular festivities will include Halloween-themed cavalcades, character sightings throughout the park, special performances by the Cadaver Dans, ghostly décor, lighting, music, treat stops with plenty of candy and so much more!
“Disney After Hours BOO BASH” tickets will grant admission to Magic Kingdom Park as early as 7 p.m. without the need for a day park ticket or Disney Park Pass theme park reservation, giving you time to enjoy even more of your favorites.
Guests of all ages will be able to dress in costume for the occasion and get their fill of Halloween candy. Face coverings will still be required during the event (which was a telling sign to me when reading this) so be sure and coordinate appropriately.
In case you aren’t familiar with Disney After Hours, it’s a special event that’s open to a limited number of guests, after normal park operating hours. The experience offers low wait times at more than 20 attractions from classics like the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain, to newer favorites like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It’s a ghostly good time for all! See Daisy, Donald and Goofy below as they give us a sneak peak of what is to come.
I feel that this is much more in line with the DVC after hours events or even an event like Villians Night, with a shorter period of time in the park and greater exclusivity, but I am ok with that and I have really come to love the cavalcades. Now let’s not get it twisted here, there is NOTHING like the Boo To You Parade during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party but Just being able to have a holiday themed event shows that things are moving in the right direction. There was also no mention of a stage show or fireworks during the event as well.
Tickets will go on sale next month, with an early purchase window available to guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Pricing has not yet been released.
