With bated breath we are all awaiting the news of Disneyland’s opening date. Today, during the Annual Meeting of Shareholders, CEO Bob Chapek gave some clear direction but no specifics on when the park would be opening. This is what he said:
Disneyland has been closed a solid year this month as the coronavirus began to spread. California relaxed its guidelines for reopening venues Friday and said amusement parks could open April 1st in counties that are no longer in the state’s purple tier, according to The Associated Press.
Park capacities would be limited and all workers and visitors would need to wear masks. Attendance at the Magic Kingdom initially will be limited to California residents upon reopening.
