Well, I have to say that I saw this one coming. It was great while it lasted but with people carrying around drinks and food, without face coverings in place, Disney had to update this guideline. It is super exciting to be back at the ‘Most Magical Place on Earth’ and with that comes newly imagined character cavalcades, roaming Winnie the Pooh, and guidelines at restaurants reopenings and yes, even almost empty theme parks!
With these new things also come Disney Parks have also reopened with new health and safety guidelines. Along with temperature checks and distancing measures, Disney World is also putting mask requirements in place for guests and Cast Members. Often times, new procedures are modified or changed. Disney has recently added the rule that guests have to be stationary and physically distanced to eat or drink. While everyone has been able to snack on a Mickey Bar or sip on a soda walking around the park before, they’ll need to stop somewhere away from people or sit down currently. As we discovered last night at Hollywood Studios, it seems that they are working on getting more tables and chairs set up so that you can grab a snack or drink and “take a load off” while you take off your mask and get a little break. Although this guideline has recently been added to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, it seems that Epcot was enforcing it with the onset of their International Food and Wine Festival currently underway.
As we keep exploring the parks and enjoying the magic that is truly within them, we will also keep aware of new and updated safety guidelines so that when you and your family come to Walt Disney World in the near future, you will be a pro at knowing what to do and how to follow the safety protocols so that you have a great time.
