SeaWorld Orlando is Ringing in the New Year with Fun, Festivities and Safety in Mind

I recently visited Seaworld and I have to say that they are really bringing the holidays to the guests this season. It is the first time, believe it or not, that I have been here during Christmas and boy, I have been missing out. So, with that in mind, I was very intrigued when I got the information regarding SeaWorld Orlando’s New Year’s Eve celebration coming up.

Guests are invited to celebrate New Year’s Eve safely at SeaWorld Orlando on Dec. 31 with limited capacity and enhanced safety procedures.  To promote safe physical distancing while still offering incredible views of the fireworks displays around the park, SeaWorld has identified additional viewing locations and added extra shows (I love this) to provide more opportunities for guests to safely enjoy the festivities this year. The midnight fireworks display and countdown can be experienced from anywhere around SeaWorld’s large central lake, with proper physical distancing in place to help keep everyone safe and healthy.  In addition to the countdown at midnight, they will also be hosting three additional performances of our Holiday Reflections fireworks display at 6:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:30 p.m., allowing guests of all ages to celebrate the start of a New Year!

Spaced seating, increased sanitation, additional park signage and additional staffing will be implemented throughout the park, and additional exits will also be added for a safe exit from the park at the conclusion of the display. They have even introduced a new area behind Bayside Stadium that will allow for an easy exit after you ring in the New Year! For detailed information about the measures that guests can expect when visiting the park, including key operational changes, visit Seaworld.com/orlando/safety.

As I mentioned earlier, if you have not seen SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration you still have time to check it out as it is taking place daily through December 31. They have truly transformed into a winter wonderland sparkling with holiday cheer, excitement, and over three million beautiful lights. We got to see the award winning, ice-skating extravaganza Winter Wonderland on Ice, got to meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and got to chat with the the jolly old elf himself, Santa Clause. I think the best part of the evening was the nightly Holiday Reflections: Fireworks and Fountains Finale, featuring soaring fountains, dazzling lights, and festive fireworks, choreographed to joyous holiday musical favorites, which frankly we have been missing very much over the past months.

In addition to all the festive fun of SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration, beginning at 6 p.m., guests can also enjoy live DJ music and dancing along with delicious food, beer, wine, cocktails, and champagne on New Year’s Eve.

Upgrade the New Year’s Eve experience:
