NEW ROLLER COASTERS “ICE BREAKER” AND “IRON GWAZI” AMPLIFY THRILLS AT SEAWORLD AND BUSCH GARDENS

This morning, we had the privilege of being able to attend the dual press conference from SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay as they rolled out their newest announcement. This was the first time in four years that both parks have launched coasters in the same year.

Iron Gwazi and Ice Breaker are the names officially announced as the two newest roller coasters coming to SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay during the press conference this morning. It was great to be able to bring you all there live ‘through the lens of this livestreamer’ and that is one of the greatest things having media access enables me to do for the Mayne Mafia. You will always be the first to see all things that are new and upcoming by following spokesmayne.co and Spokesmayne on YouTube and all other social media platforms.

Ice Breaker will be SeaWorld’s first launch coaster, not with just one, but four launches!! It has a near vertical lift and near vertical drop. This will be SeaWorld’s sixth roller coaster and located near the Wild Arctic Attraction, the ride’s theme is reflective of this area with a nod to Ice Breaker’s conservation partner, Alaska SeaLife Center. Primarily dedicated to marine research, education and wildlife response, the Alaska SeaLife Center mission matches closely to SeaWorld Orlando’s, making them a perfect partner to help educate riders about the Artic and its inhabitants.

“The Alaska SeaLife Center is excited to grow our partnership with SeaWorld.  For many years, SeaWorld has been a stalwart supporter of the Center, and particularly our Wildlife Response program,” said Tara L. Riemer, President and CEO of Alaska SeaLife Center. “We are grateful for SeaWorld’s contributions of funding and staff over the years to further our mission. This new collaboration will continue efforts to highlight Arctic rescue and conservation stories.

There will be more information coming out soon so don’t forget to keep checking back in the months to come. This was super exciting and we even got to sign a piece of the track! So now the Mayne Mafia will always be a part of this roller coaster for years to come!!

At Busch Gardens, Stewart Clark announced their newest coaster after just launching Tigris last year. Of course, you were able to experience that event and opening ‘through the lens of this live streamer’ as well and we even were able to take you on that coaster and it was awesome!! Andrew Hatar from the design engineering team described the newest of the water rides coming up.

This awesome water attraction will be called Solar Vortex, opening Spring of 2020 will be the first tail spin attraction and 52′ tower. This will be an amazing family ride at Adventure Island in Tampa! Manufactured by Whitewater, Solar Vortex will also include three dynamic AquaLucent™ elements — harnessing the power of the Florida sun into colorful patterns that shine through the slide as riders reach speeds of up to 20 miles per hour. Solar Vortex will be an electrifying new ride for families.

Andrew Schaffer announced the newest coaster coming to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. It will be North America’s tallest, steepest, hybrid coaster, and it’s name is Iron Gwazi! Opening Spring of 2020 this coaster looks super intense!! Iron Gwazi will be 206 feet tall, feature a 91-degree drop, and reach top speeds of 76 miles per hour. The journey will include three inversions and 12 airtime hills as it races along more than 4,075 feet of purple steel track. With a 48” height requirement, Iron Gwazi will be an exciting thrill attraction that families can take on together. We cannot wait to try out all of these amazing roller coasters and you know that you will be right there as we will be some of the first to show you and experience these amazing new rides!!

“Iron Gwazi is the evolution of a classic wooden coaster into a modern icon,” said Stewart Clark, Park President of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. “From the bones of the original Gwazi, a new legend rises, reaching taller heights and faster speeds, delivering the next-level thrills that our coaster fans crave and expect from Busch Gardens.”

After the announcements we were able to check out some of the craft brew samples and food goodies like waffles, fruit, beer and yogurt chicken wings, brisket loaded potato skins. It all looked delicious!! Of course the jalapeno shrimp looked good as well but I only had two hands!! The music was jamming and the atmosphere was so much fun!

We got to try some yummy Isle Mirada beer and other varieties and catch some of the fun of SeaWorld.
