Disney Disneyland Entertainment Movies Music Travel Walt Disney World

Music, Beauty and Togetherness Become a ‘Spirited’ Addition to Mickey’s PhilharMagic

One of the most heartwarming, colorful and musically captivating movies is coming to Mickey’s PhilharMagic very soon.

“The film’s fun, upbeat music and characters combined with the humor of Donald Duck marks the first time Disney and Pixar animators have worked on a creative endeavor where characters from both animation studios will be seen together on screen,” This is one of my favorite attractions and always entertaining. Needless to say, I cannot wait to bring you guys along to see the it when it debuts!

And if you guessed Donald Duck would gamely put himself in the middle of the whimsical world of “Coco,” you’d be correct.

The song’s title, “Un Poco Loco,” strongly suggests that happy high jinks may be afoot when the Disney icon meets up with some of the “Coco” characters, including Miguel, Héctor, and, oh joy, Pepita, too.

And if you also guessed that the debut date of this special addition to “Mickey’s PhilharMagic” boasts sweet significant, you’d be right again: July 17, 2021 is the 66th anniversary of Disneyland’s debut.

The changes will be happening first at Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Paris on July 17. Walt Disney World guests will see the new addition later this year just in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration. There are so many new and exciting additions coming, now we know why the celebration is going 18 months. It will take that long to see everything!

Disney said they tapped the film’s original music composers to produce the unique scene. Guests will enjoy this new scene alongside all of the show’s current fan-favorite musical numbers including “Be Our Guest” from “Beauty and the Beast,” “Part of Your World” from “The Little Mermaid,” and “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” from “The Lion King.”
