After a year of virtual meetings, virtual visits and… yes, virtual races… Disney is in the early planning stages to once again welcome back our runDisney family to the Most Magical Place on Earth. And it’s just in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort. Beginning this fall, Disney is enthusiastically kicking off the 2021/2022 runDisney race season in person, beginning with Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend in November!
Be sure and keep checking back here as Disney provides updates to runDisney participants leading up to the race weekends. I know so many of our friends that are truly filled with so much excitement, now training, planning and preparing to participate in the runDisney races.
Although they may not be quite ready to bring back every element of a runDisney race weekend as COVID-19 guideline and we wait patiently as they bring in-person running back to Walt Disney World Resort. Here are some things that we do know:
runDisney Health & Fitness Expo
- Day-of-race bib pickup will not be available. Participants will need to pick up their race bib and participant shirt before the day of their race.

Event Arrival and Transportation
- Please check runDisney.com and the Digital Event Guide for more details on event arrival and transportation closer to the event.
- runDisney races will continue to feature on-course entertainment for our participants, however this may look different than past races.

runDisney Kids Adventures—a new Disney Kids experience—is currently in development and will replace the runDisney Kids Races. Please check back closer to the event for more details.
