Last week, we were invited by Disney to preview the fun, food and festivities that will be opening on November 29th for the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays.
With all of the amazing decor that is around the Walt Disney World Parks, as well the resorts and Disney Springs it is almost too much to take in at times. However, the festivals that happen at Epcot each season are an event that cannot be missed. This is the case with Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays.
As we entered World Showcase and the massive room that was full of all things holiday, you could really sense that the season is upon us. We were able to get a first glimpse of some of the amazing merchandise that is coming to the festival, sample some food offerings and some of the speciality beverages that will be offered at the many food kiosks around Epcot. There were some new offerings this year and some traditional ones (I so hope that the turkey dinner is back) and I will be taking the Mayne Mafia for a first hand look ‘through the lens of this livestreamer’ during the Festival of the Holidays run. After chatting and having some yuletide fun with our friends Goofy and Chip and Dale, who were very festive looking, it was time to do some more previewing.
We even got a first look at Elsa and Anna’s new outfits from the blockbuster movie, Disney’s Frozen II’ that was just released in theaters. Of course, the looked as beautiful as ever in their new wardrobe. However, I feel that Kristoff should have at least gotten a new suit as well, so what’s with that?
We were able to mingle around Epcot a little bit, went and visited with the ever so beautiful Belle, who also is adorned in her winter wear for the holidays. The decorations in Epcot are tasteful and beautiful and; while Magic Kingdom has some wonderously themed overlays for the holidays, Epcot has thrown in some of their own. We were invited to take a journey down river on Living with the Land and experience for ourselves some of the merry and bright decorations and lighting that has taken over this attraction this holiday season. I have to say, I was very impressed!! I can’t wait to take another ride on it and bring all of you along.
I am extremely grateful to Disney for allowing me to be able to experience the preview for Festival of the Holidays and share a little sneak peak with you. Looking forward having some great time during the festival this year and see what you, the Mayne Mafia, think of all the new offerings, decorations and holiday overlays. So, if you are looking for some inspirational music and storytelling from the Candelight Processional to strolling the World Showcase for cookies, we will be doing all this and more. Be sure to follow spokesmayne.co and make sure that you are following spokesmayne on social media so you don’t miss a think this season.
Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays begins November 29th through December 30th. Park admission is needed to experience this event.
