A Sneak Peak Into Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration

This morning on Good Morning America, we all got a little glimpse into what is coming for the awesome 50th anniversary celebration at Walt Disney World. Here are a few of things to come!

If you are like me, we have been keeping our eyes open for even the smallest clues as to what will be happening during the this momentus celebration. This morning on ABC, we got a little look into that as Good Morning America said “Good Morning” to Mickey and Minnie in their 50th celebration outfits, kicking off what is going to be an 18 month long anniversary celebration!

The ‘ear’idecent outfits are very nice, with just that hint of sparkle that brings excitement and the feeling of celebration. Mickey of course, is very dapper looking and Minnie is loving her new frilly, gold trimmed dress as she is twirling around, showing it off for the audience.

The parks’ most magical celebration on Earth will include the expansion of new entertainment activities and attractions, and to mark the festivities, the most anticipated reveal was the concept art of Magic Kingdom’s iconic Cinderella Castle, being transformed with new sparkling embellishments.

In addition, icons in the four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios will transform into Beacons of Magic, by coming to life with their own magical glow. Along with Cinderella Castle, the Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth and yes, my own Tower of Terror, will be getting a little celebratory makeover. The lighting on Spaceship Earth, resembling stars in the sky, will remain permanently after the celebration as a defining feature of the park.

As mentioned on GMA, the celebration will begin on October 1, 2021 but no real details came out as to what will be the kickoff for the anniversary. The makeovers of the Cinderella Castle and Spaceship Earth, will keep our eyes open for those changes coming and because this anniversary will go longer than previous ones, a full 18-months as reported, the new safety and health protocols seem to be coming into play here.

But, I for one am not complaining, as it will give more guests time to come to the Most Magical Place on Earth to see the most amazing celebration on Earth!! Are you planning on coming during the 50th anniversary? If so, let me know in the comments and what you would like to see during your visit.

Be sure and check back here for more information on new attractions and experiences coming as well as new merchandise coming for the 50th anniversary celebration. Follow me on Youtube as we go into the parks live and on Instagram and Facebook. You will not want to miss what is coming up this year!
